Nearly a hundred guests joined the Caldecott Foundation at the Late Summer Lunch at the beautiful Boldshaves in Woodchurch on Monday, 9^th September 2013.

The event was started off with a drink upon arrival where the guests were given the chance to buy tickets for the raffle, for which prizes included lunch for two at Elvey Farm Hotel in Pluckley and a golden season ticket for the Secret Gardens of Sandwich.

Guests were served with a Mediterranean style lunch which included Gazpacho chicken and tabbouleh. Despite the miserable weather, the meal was a huge success. The guest speaker at the event, Steve Edney, Head Gardener of the Secret Garden at Sandwich proved popular amongst the guests.

The event raised over £3,500 to go towards horticultural equipment at Caldecott School.
